Personal Development Planning or PDP is a process of planning ahead for future action, working on tasks and recording what has been learnt and achieved.
We were asked by Research TV to create a video to promote PDP and show how it can help with the way students study.
Wing Wah Restuarant based in Nichells, Birmingham, approached @Warblefly Productions as they were looking for a Televison and Radio advertising campaign. We provided various concepts and storyboards until we found one that worked for the client.
We used models from the Alan Sharman Agency and filmed the commercial in the various Wing Wah restaurants throughout the midlands.
Brilliantly Birmingham showcases the work of local, national and international designer makers through a full programme of exhibitions, workshops and special events. All exhibitions are free of charge and the festival promises to be a fascinating insight into jewellery-making today.
@Warblefly created a short video to show the variety of events that take place and how it really helps designer/makers to sell work and get commissioned.
Bass 2008
The Bass 2008 music festival is a celebration of urban music thorughout the midlands and for the first time even stretching up to Manchester.
The festival is an opportunity for midlands based artists to mix with top of the game musical talent from around the world such as Black Thought from The Roots. @Warblefly were asked to produce a short documentary covering the best parts of the festival in order to promote the festival for next year.
The Rainbow Hunters is a chase between a man and a woman in a surreal fantasy world. As they rythmically progress through the forest they cascade light all around them.
The film was born out of a pixilation technique Antidote had been experimenting with for a while.
We shot approximately 2800 phtographs to create the illusion of a smooth floating motion.
The University of Warwick were looking for a video to encourage more people to look for job vacancies at the University. The video had to appeal to a variety of people and reflect a forward thinking and vibrant place to work.
Taking reference from the 1966 John Frankenheimer film “Grand Prix” we created a video that not only showed how great it is to work for the University but also managed to do it in style!
WMG (formerly Warwick Manufacturing Group) is an academic department of the University of Warwick. They have grown into a global force to be reckoned with, delving outside its manufacturing core into new sectors: health, banking, the built environment and digital technology to name a few.
@Warblefly created a corporate video to showcase the research and development work that they have been doing.
The NHS were looking for a way to encourage more young men to get incolved in the Health Service. They called in Pickle Jar Communications and @Warblefly to create a video that would show the variety of jobs available in the NHS for men.
We filmed for three days in and around Newcastle meeting various people from Nursey Nurses to Paramedics.
Wyevale were looking for a Christmas advert and Eight Eyed Sea Bass were looking for a creative team to help them film it. We pulled in the hottest director in town, Mr Ben Lister, and did a quick shoot in a studio with a track and a Christmas Tree.
Eight Eyed Sea Bass did all the really clever stuff at the end to make it all sparkle.
Birmingham City University (BCU) and t
heir “Grrreen Think Campaign” looked at working with businesses to help promote sustainability.
The DVD works alongside their printed material and went that little bit further to explain the inivative developments they have made so far.
